OS/2 Icons of the Messier objects (star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and some odds which the French 18th century astronomer Charles Messier included in his catalog). Most of the icons were generated from images of the SEDS's, Tucson, Arizona collection (http://www.seds.org/messier/). Here also the objects added later, and the doubty M102 candidate NGC 5866 are included. These icons were produced and are copyrighted (c) 1995 by Hartmut Frommert. They may be freely used and freely distributed as long as no money is charged and their distribution is not restricted. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- messieri.zip A collection of OS/2 icons of the Messier Objects ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Their appropriate place would perhaps be in the /pub/software/os2 directory.
